The Buena Tierra Vineyard in the hands of master winemaker Nikolai Stez has always been one of my favorite pinot noirs in what I refer to as the "elegant style pinot noir". Big, smooth tannins an creamy red cherry pie. Would make a perfect pairing with seared rare duck breast in a cherry sauce, however, with a wine this fine, it makes an exceptional sipping wine. Cellar now through 2012.
