Anakota Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 750ml

Helena Dakota Vineyard
Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
"Sourced exclusively from estate-owned vineyards, Anakota is a collection of single vineyard, single varietal, Knights Valley appellation wines that personify the rustic elegance and spirit of rural Sonoma County. The vibrant, dark ruby color of the 2001 vintage is followed by a vivacious cherry and violet nose. The fruit-forward flavors begin with red berry enhanced by a slight hint of
wood. Helena Dakota's fruit continues to unfold, with chocolate, coffee and a signature of truffle flavor. The impressive structure of this wine, coupled with soft tannins, lends to a long, refined finish."
- Winemaker notes
"Pair with hearty meat dishes such as T-bone steak. No decanting necessary. Cellar through 2014."

$69.99
Red Mountain, Washington
48% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot
"We produced 1095 cases of wine from this steely eyed vineyard. The nose is a lovely blend of earth and fruit and is quite forward for such a young wine. The wine is medium bodied offset by depth and a sense of promise. This is a stalwart wine with well defined delicate shading. The fruit profile is red fruit with floral aromas mixed with a kind of earthy spiciness."
- Winery notes
"Pair this wine with a myriad of foods from grilled salmon to a rack of lamb. No decanting necessary. Cellar through 2012."
- John Haggard, Sophie's Cellars

Aqua Perfecta Framboise Liqueur 375ml
$21.99
"Powerful ripe flavors and aromas from Meeker raspberries grown in gravelled soils near the Frasier River in northernmost Washington state. To fully develop the intensity of these berries, Jorg cold-ferments them using a pinot noir wine yeast. Soft, lovely, and pure."
Winemaker notes
|
Aqua Perfecta Pear Liqueur 375ml
$21.99
"Aqua Perfecta's signature bottling. Bartlett pears are delivered to the distillery from Lake and Mendocino Counties, famous growing regions with hot days (flavor) and cool nights (structure). Jorg allows the pears to ripen further, until they reach their peak of soft juiciness, and ferments them with special champagne yeasts. Deep buttery pear, hints of spice, no trace of alcoholic roughness: a masterwork."

Intense ripe cassis and blackberry fruit is enveloped in roasted coffee, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, and leather. The ample tannins are silky smooth and mouth filling, making the wine rich from start to lingering finish. The balance of tannins and acid, with the intensely extracted core fruit, will enable this wine to last 10 – 20 years."

Artesa Elements 2002 750ml
$21.99
Napa Valley Red Wine
63% Sonoma County, 37% Napa County
"Artesa Elements is an intriguing blend of red Bordeaux varietals with a small amount of Rhone varietals included for their spicy and meaty characters. This wine is principally Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from the Sonoma Valley, Knight's Valley and Alexander Valley appellations as well as Napa's Carneros and Atlas Peak areas. The cooler regions of Carneros and Sonoma Valley provide great weight and density, while the volcanic rock mountain sides of Atlas Peak and Alexander Valley provide great fruit intensity. Specifically blended from many varietals, or elements, this wine is brimming with lively black cherry and black berry fruit wrapped in mocha and fudge. It is supple and spicy, with hints of mint, cinnamon, oregano and camp fires.
- Winery notes
"Pair Artesa Elements with a leg of lamb. No decanting necessary. Cellar through 2010. A great value bordeaux blend."

Atascadero Creek Zinfandel 2005 750ml
$26.99
Russian River Valley Zinfandel
Haun Vineyards
"From the vineyards on Rob Haun's ranch in the Russian River valley, these dry farmed, no spray grapevines only produce about one ton per acre. The 50 year old vineyard was originally planted by members of Joe Dimaggio's family. The wine has notes of raspberries, blueberries and plums, the tannins are soft, and the finish is spicy. At 15.9% alcohol, it's a big chewy zinfandel. 70 cases produced." - Winemaker notes
"The Haun Vineyard is what is known as an Italian Field Blend consisting of several varietals in a predominantly zinfandel vineyard, with varietals such as Alicante Bouschet, Viognier, Palomino giving this zinfandel a much more viscous quality. The 2005 is my favorite vintage to date. Pair with Barbequed Meats, Country Pork Ribs, Chicken or Home Made Lasagna. Enjoy now or cellar through 2011. No decanting necessay."

The flavors are Bing cherries, boysenberries and oaky wood spice with hints of vanilla. This pinot has a smooth and round mouth feel, rather full bodied for a lighter red - deceptively rich."
