Boheme Pinot Noir 2006 750ml
$52.99
Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Stuller Vineyard
"In vintage 2006 we harvested individual lots of grapes between October 11th and 25th, and cold-soaked them 10 days to facilitate absorption of color and flavor from the skins. The lots were fermented separately and aged 17 months in 50% new French oak barrels. This full, earth-driven 2006 Boheme Pinot Noir exhibits elegance with high concentration – a combination uncommon to Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir."

$45.99
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Estate Grown
"The Bohemian Vineyard is a seven-acre parcel in Freestone off the Bohemian Highway that was developed from 1998-2000 and which began yielding mature crop in 2002. The Russian River Valley Appellation with its cool foggy nights and warm days has the optimum microclimate to grow ultra premium Pinot Noir grapes. Dijon clones 115, 667 and 777. Only 250 cases produced."
Winery notes
"The Bohemian Vineyard Pinot Noir from 2006 has sharp red fruit flavors of cranberry, cherry which give way to a long subtly smokey finish with well defined mineral notes. Try pairing this small production pinot noir with grilled salmon or wild mushroom tartin. Decant for a minimum of twenty minutes. Cellar now through 2013."

"Elegant and firm, like a Brut in style, with just a hint of red berry accenting the pastry and citrus flavors. The nice, mouthwatering finish suggests enjoying this as an aperitif."

"Perhaps the finest of Rosés. Crisp dry red fruit; essence of strawberry and citric acidity flows into the elegant finish of soft and subtle minerality."

wine/cainconcept_logo.gif Cain Concept 2004 750ml
$70.00
Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon 61%, Merlot 16%, Cabernet Franc 12%, Petit Verdot 11%
"The year 2004 was a refreshing change after the warm, almost hot years of 2002 and 2003. We were able to wait patiently for the grapes to mature under almost perfect conditions. The lower yields and moderate temperatures gave wines that are more dense and more tightly wound than those of 2002, 2003, or 2005. While it drinks well now, the wine will certainly age extremely well. The 2004 Concept is a rich, dark purple (not ruby). It has a warm cherry-pie nose, and is fragrant, floral, and spicy. A sweet, round entry is followed by smooth, flowing, very refined tannins—just enough to cleanse the palate."
- Winery notes
"Decant a minimum of forty minutes. Cellar now through 2016. This robust red from Cain Vineyards pairs very well with rack of lamb or a twenty-one day dry aged new york steak."

$21.99
Dry Creek Valley Syrah
"Jim and Linda Drumwright named their Dry Creek Valley vineyard 'Exhale' because it was their escape from the pressure of high-stress jobs and raising their kids in the big City. They wanted a place in the Wine Country to relax and... exhale! The Syrah made from this relaxing setting is full of charming blueberry fruit and lively white pepper spice, against a rich backdrop of oak. So feet up, take a nice deep breath and blow those cares away with a glass of Exhale Syrah!"

"Carol Shelton is known as the 'Queen of Zinfandel'. Karma is a field blend, containing more than just their beloved Zinfandel; Alicante Bouschet, Carignane and Palomino add to the complexity and utter deliciousness of this wine. Layers of black fruit, interesting spice and earthy richness. Full of freshly-ground black pepper aromas and some nice cedary-spicy oak components, it has a rich creamy mouthfeel despite its firm tannic backbone. A great pairing for a sweet hot spicy barbeque. Cellar now through 2010. No decanting necessary."

"70 of Chardonnay (aged in wood) and 30% of Pinot Noir. This blend has been vinified without malo-lactic fermentation. Pale gold robe. A well balanced Cuvee, fruity bouquet with hints of vanilla. Fresh in the mouth, full of flower flavours with notes of citrus, long lasting and elegant."

Chasseur Pinot Noir 2006 750ml
$44.99
Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
"Both depth of fruit and a sense of coiled strength are apparent in the aromas of this youthful Pinot, as its dark core of cherry and grenadine is neatly counter-pointed by savory notes of roasted grain, dried orange and tobacconist-shop spice. It is rich in texture, with a sinewy palate-feel and plenty of fruit, firmed by polished tannins. The impression of youth is amplified in the lingering finish, which is a tightly wound mix of sweet pomegranate, red plum, roasted grain, sumac and dried orange." - winery notes

"Decant for twenty minutes. As we only have a one case allocation, I was unable to taste this vintage. However, the past vintages from Bill Hunter of Chasseur Winery have been exquisite. The youthful winery description would suggest cellaring through 2012."
