Karma is a field blend, containing more than just their beloved Zinfandel; Alicante Bouschet, Carignane and Palomino add to the complexity and utter deliciousness of this wine. Layers of black fruit, interesting spice and earthy richness. Full of freshly-ground black pepper aromas and some nice cedary-spicy oak components, it has a rich creamy mouthfeel despite its firm tannic backbone. A great pairing for a sweet hot spicy barbeque. Chasseur Pinot Noir 2006 750ml $44.99 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir "Both depth of fruit and a sense of coiled strength are apparent in the aromas of this youthful Pinot, as its dark core of cherry and grenadine is neatly counter-pointed by savory notes of roasted grain, dried orange and tobacconist-shop spice. It is rich in texture, with a sinewy palate-feel and plenty of fruit, firmed by polished tannins. David Noyes Tocai Friulano 2007 750ml $17.99 North Coast Tocai Friulano "Aromatic and light, this easy to like white pairs well with pungent, rustic cuisine, and seafood. A favorite in its home region of Friuli, Northeast Italy, it is found throughout that region's bars and restaurants. The varieta's history in California dates from the 1880's, when various prominent viticulturists promoted it as an improvement to the varieties then used for commercial white wines. The aroma explodes with citrus, citronella, and white pepper spice. In the mouth the flavors explore the range of floral fruit from earth to spice, with a persistent mineral finish. The clean finish and assertive floral character allow the wine to make a perfect match to mussels or clams, the traditional pairing with prosciutto, or more simply, roast chicken." - Winemaker notes
