Our very small allocation of 2006 has not afforded me a taste though I suspect it will also be spectacular given the other Sonoma Coast pinot noirs I have tasted from 2006. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, leading to a long, fruity finish."

Intense raspberry, strawberry, cherry and rose aromas display liqueur-like depth and intensity; picks up smoke and fresh meat qualities with air. Fleshy and dense but with impressive lift to the ripe red and dark fruit flavors. Expands and deepens on the sweet, supple, inviting finish. These are old Swan clones, probably planted in 1972, according to Chappelle."

The spicy elements, reminiscent of clove, are characteristic of this block. The firm tannins, finesse and complexity suggest the trademark of a grand cru from Burgundy.
