Kanzler Pinot Noir 2006 750ml
$53.99
Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
"The previous vintage from Kanzler Vineyards, the 2005 Kanzler Pinot Noir was one of my favorites of the year, silky, rich-textured forest-floor with subtle notes of sweet oak and an intensely long complex finish. Our very small allocation of 2006 has not afforded me a taste though I suspect it will also be spectacular given the other Sonoma Coast pinot noirs I have tasted from 2006. If structure as the 2005, decant for forty minutesand cellar now through 2014."

"Keller enters the big leagues with this marvelously layered Pinot Noir. For starters, it's delicious. Dry and crisp, the flavors are of ripe cherries, raspberries, tangerines, pomegranates and cola, with smoky, spicy complexities from New French oak. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, leading to a long, fruity finish."

Lynmar Pinot Noir Quail Hill Vineyard 2005
$69.99
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

"Bright red. Intense raspberry, strawberry, cherry and rose aromas display liqueur-like depth and intensity; picks up smoke and fresh meat qualities with air. Fleshy and dense but with impressive lift to the ripe red and dark fruit flavors. Expands and deepens on the sweet, supple, inviting finish. These are old Swan clones, probably planted in 1972, according to Chappelle."

Marimar Pinot Noir Stony Block 2004 750ml
$44.99
Don Miguel Vineyard
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Organically grown grapes
The Stony Block was planted with the Dijon 115 clone in 1997, and is organically grown.
"This first release of Stony Block shows deep aromas of raspberry and forest floor, with the elegant oak providing a harmonious framework. The spicy elements, reminiscent of clove, are characteristic of this block. The firm tannins,
finesse and complexity suggest the trademark of a grand cru from Burgundy. The wine opens up to reveal a structure
that promises a long life in the bottle. It is the perfect wine to accompany a dish of grilled lamb."
Winery notes
"Decant for an hour, although we found this wine became exceptional after nearly six hours of decanting."

The ripened fruit flavors from this 2005 vintage will pair well with a mildly spicy paella. No decanting necessary. Cellar through 2010."
